    Guys,

I am loving the Cyclos DS and now I am greedy (in much the same way Shane discusses good design elements of video games) and I would like to explore GBA use. I own all the super mario bros. games that came out on the GBA and I would rest peacefully if I could figure out how to get them onto the flashcard and run a gameboy emulator. Any FAQ's or suggestions?

Thanks, as always, for your help!

    Chad

There is no GBA emulator, just snag a EZ 3 in 1 for around $25 and use it to play GBA while complimenting your Cyclo. It will also allow you to rip your retail carts as well.

I bought the EZ 3 in 1 but I am not sure how to use it to rip games. I just updated my firmware to 1.3 on Cyclos DS and I got the rumble to work in EZ 3 in 1. Any advice on ripping?

    Thanks!

Not sure about ripping GBA games, but here is how you rip your DS games:

I saw you FAQ Shane which has one tiny factual error.

It has been possible for a long time to rip your own GBA games and I 've done it a few times.

The way I did it was with an EZFA cable and software which has now been outdated by the EZF 2.

It was a cut and paste thing. Notice all my other BACKUP FAQs start the same way.

Buy it here if you are in the US and want great service.

And thank you for your patronage...

Can anyone recommend where to buy cheap SDHD memory cards to use with the Cyclos? Is there any size of card you can use? I also remember that--I think--you could only have a certain number of games on a card before CyclosDS would not recognize any other games after a certain number. It was something like 125.
    Is that still the case?

    Thanks,

    Chooka

Yes but it is per directory, not the card itself whose only limit is memory. Creating alphabetical or genre directories like 'Action', 'RPG' etc etc gets around that.

Newegg usually has everyday low prices for memory otherwise buy.com sometimes drops a bombshell deal.

Any limits to the size of the memory card? I was looking at a 16 gig.

Thanks Womp...BTW, what are the dates for Monroeapalooza. I head home from Iraq next week and hope to make it to the get together.

    Thanks!
