The new EZ 3 in 1 Expansion Pack Chipset ...

Many people, including myself, have recently ordered this cool slot 2 cart only to find out that Rudolph's 3 in 1 tools doesn't see it and rumble doesn't work (mine was ACTUALLY in a box to return as defective).

Turns out that there is a new chipset in the cart and it needs a new toolset to work properly.

Even the CycloDS Evolution that has support for rumble built in doesn't work properly - you have to enable the rumble from the toolkit each power up (until Team Cyclops fixes it).

So, don't send it back - watch this space for more info.

I must of picked up one of these newer chipsets to. At firsT I thought it was deffective. But then I put on that gbaloader everythings good now , Had to patch the opera browser to work with it.

An the rumble dont work nativly for cyclo ds I guess they will be fixing it in a new firmware.

Yeah, they are aware of the situation.

Funny, wonder why my Opera didn't need patching .. it works.

Got my 3 in 1 card and everything worked out fine. Thanks again for the updated info and the link.

Hope they release a patch for the cyclo pretty quick, it is a bit of an annoyance to have to reenable the rumble everytime.

Haven't tried the opera browser yet, so don't know if I'll have to patch it or not. I'll let you know.

PS. Also got my copy of NES Classic:ExciteBike working, thanks to that link. The ips patches that guy posted was a bonus.

    woo-hoo!

Mine came today, Took me a minute to figure out what I needed to do but it seems to be working (with opera unpatched) I think you might need to have the latest cyclo firmware? I'll try out the rest of the features and post how it goes. Heres a quick question.. Does the gba file need to be unzipped? Never mind, I answered my own question, they need to be unzipped.. Seems to play the gba's just fine...
