"Consider the improbable is possible"
Shane, thank goodness for the last show. I think you have set a really strong precedent with the 2008 season. I was super excited after listening to this show after the editorial with all of the Commodore (pre-Amiga) details and the Jay Smith interview.

Please do more amiga story shane![]()
My favriot story was the one where shane jumped onto someones wifi connection on the ds to chat, while in a hot tuban his wife asking him what he was doing n the ds
, Along with the chesy music on that episode I couldn't stop laughing.
Also the tv was a very good one to. An I like hearing about all the hardware c64/ esp the copyprotection, drives and the amiga stuff,
Also hearing the c64 reviews an just individual reviews of your favriot classic games. Some of them I heard of some of them I never heard.
Rockbox Open Source Firmware For Your MP3 Player
Playing Yggdra Union (PSP) SMT Strange Journey (DS) Demon Souls (PS3) GT5 (PS3) NFS Hot Pursuit (PS3) (PC) Minecraft
"Uk needs to upgrade from 56k baud" Womp (after laggy cod4 match)
Look forward to that, my personal favorite platform ever besides PC,
If only Commodore realized what they had and re-invested in moving
the platform forward, I truly believe at the very least maybe AMIGA
would be the APPLE of today, OH DON'T GET ME STARTED...........
Maybe I'll do a History of Shane multipart segment starting back at the TRS Model III days and working my way up .... speak about the ugly days in a suburb of New York ...

I didn't see anyone mention this as of yet, so I thought I would just clarify something you mentioned in "Bits 'n' Bytes" since I'm in the process of listening to it now at work. You confused the ZX Spectrum with the Sinclair ZX81/Timex Sinclair 1000. The ZX Spectrum is the "next gen" color version of the Sinclair ZX81 (which Timex sold with twice the memory - 2K - as the 1000) and was never released in the US. What was down to $10 each and often given away was the Timex Sinclair 1000, which had the smooth keyboard, black and white visuals and no sound. Timex released the Sinclair 2068 in the US, which was an upgraded and mostly incompatible US version of the ZX Spectrum. You could add an internal ROM switch or cartridge ROM adapter (available in the US pretty much after the system was discontinued not too long after its introduction) to make it highly compatible with the 48K ZX Spectrum. So in summary, all the US ever saw was the ZX81, Timex Sinclair 1000, Timex Sinclair 1500 (16K 1000 with a chicklet keyboard), Timex Sinclair 2068 and Sinclair QL. The first and last systems had nothing to do with Timex...
Also, that 1541-III is very cool, but obviously not being actively sold. A lot of us use the MMC64 instead, which is regularly updated and is actually sold: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MMC64
By the way, enjoying the show yet again!
