Man, went back to play a quick game of this a couple days ago ... I'm COMPLETELY out of the groove.

But man, I had forgotten the evil hold it had on me ... I think I know what a reformed smoker feels like when he goes into a smokey bar now ...

If anyone plays this game a lot, definitely check out the controller from Madcatz:

Unless you want to mod your wireless controller (there's a thread here that explains how to do it, bu I'm too lazy to look it up), this is definitely the way to go. It's still not perfect, but it's much better than the arcade stick and wireless controller. My score immediately went up by 80k using this. I'm now up to 209k, but haven't played it very much, so I know I can go higher than that

A lot of people really like the d-pad on the Madcatz, but I personally like using the analog stick with Pacman.

I assume that is a wired controller then?

I think I've made my peace with the game, and I'm more or less happy with my 269k. I might fire it up again at some point, but that will be to get achievements I've missed. There are too many other games on my plate to put in the time necessary to break 300k, let alone catch you. =)

I quit smoking over 10 years ago, and I still get cravings every so often when I smell other people smoking. Smokey bars are too much, though, too much smoke makes me a little sick and uncomfortable now. I'm still playing Pac Man after 25+ years so I guess things like that never leave you, although I don't recall ever getting sick from too much Pac Man...

Congratulations bydo that is a long time. I recently quit myself must be around 6 months , still get the urges now an again though playing games an pac man seem to take my mind off it.
