"Consider the improbable is possible"
Made some more progress ...
The MY TOURNAMENT INFORMATION now accurately populates! WHOOT! That's huge!
The changeover to the new time format has been completed and tested ... whew ... Gives me some other options later on down the pike.
I've added checks to ensure that you do not try to join a tourney that you are already part of AND that you ACTUALLY have the game on your owned list. Big thing.
Next - the ability to remove yourself from a tourney, make it so your proctored tourneys don't show up in the REGISTERED tourneys (double data), and some other little things.
Then, the tourney admin screen and all it's nuances.
Finally, get the email system running -- and I think we're ready for beta testing!

Tons more stuff done (with the help of AlexJ).
What's New
- Times on the MY REGISTERED TOURNEYS now properly converted to the user's own time zone.
- Fixed a bug where the CREATE TOURNEY screen wouldn't refresh the main screen.
- Fixed the display of slots to correctly show FREE slots not TAKEN slots.
- Color coded the tourney calendar list so that any tourneys that are full are in red, 1 slot left are in yellow, all else are in green.
- Other minor misc. crap.
And, here is a new screenshot to drool over.

Okay, couple updates before I hit the sack ...
Added some nice nagging to prod people into entering their time zone. I stiill need to deny access to joining tourneys until you set your time zone.
Fixed the MY TOURNAMENT INFO so that your PROCTORED tourneys no longer appear on your REGISTERED TOURNEYs list.
Minor formatting issues.
I'm stoked about getting this to beta!

My nightly update ....
Okay, made some good headway tonight.
You can now remove yourself from a tournament you've registered for.
Proctors can now view the details of their tourney, including the user list, and kick people out of their tournament. They can't delete the tourney yet, but it's a good start.
What's left is mostly little stuff I have to cobble on and get the new chat system integrated into the tourney play screen - shouldn't be too hard at all.
Still on schedule for a weekend beta release.

The core email system is done, now I'm producing templates for all the different messages. So far I've got:
Join (player)
Joined (proctor)
Leave (player)
Leaving (proctor)
... few more to go.
Then I'll have the actual play screens to fix up.
While it won't be completely done, it will be USEFUL to the community at that point.

New feature ...
I've added a code validator for the DS game codes. You can no longer enter an invalid number for a DS game.
As a bonus, I've tagged existing codes with a /!\ icon if they fail the validator!
So, go check your codes!

I've added some functionality and moved some stuff around on the Uplink site.
I think the changes will be MOSTLY obvious, but you can now COLLAPSE the Control Panel portals by clicking the little blue box with the caret in it.
This is not, however, sticky yet- so when you return to the site next time, it will not remember your settings. Nor can you reorder the portals.
This will be in the DSR Portal coming later on this year - the DSR and Uplink site will completely merge into a big portal entity with all those features.
