Has anyone had the chance to try this one out ? I only knew it existed after seeing it mentioned on another forum but I can't find any reviews online. It's currently $19.99 at Amazon. Should I be tempted ?

It's not a bad game. The Mahjong engine is good. iWin puts out good stuff.

I've been enjoying what little of it I've played as Shane said it's a pretty good mahjong engine better than what came with Clubhouse Games and has some nice extras. Should be worth the 12 quid you'll pay for importing it.
I like it. The game surprised me. Best mahjong i've played on the DS.
What does the 'quest' part entail? Should I expect an adventure element, as in Puzzle Quest?

Hmm. That's a bit of a shame, I would have liked a MahJong version of PQ.
Oh well, it's under a tenner on VG+ so I may just get it anyway.
Under a tenner? Well worth it.

Been playing this for about a week and enjoying it.
Pros:
- I can see what numbers and symbols are on the tiles (they are too small on other DS mahjong games; getting old is a b****).
- The difficulty of the mahjong games in the Quest mode varies (some are more difficult than others, but eventually I've solved all so far).
- Very little annoying story.
- Timer is very generous.
- 32 puzzles in Classic mode, 32 in Puzzle mode, and 64 in Quest mode.
- Got it for $16 at Costco.
Cons:
- The standard numbers and symbols are not used on the tiles.
- Purpose of Quest mode is to match two specific tiles at the bottom of the tiles, instead of solving the whole puzzle. You get more points if you match fewer tiles before matching the two specific tiles.
- Many "special" tiles used in Quest mode, but they are not always helpful. I've found it difficult to remember what each special tile does (see first bullet under Pros).
Can one change the tiles? I read one review that said there was only one tile set, but the box shows different?
