What's with all these ring tone commercials?

If you watch TV lately you've been seeing ads for Jamster, Zingy, and Dirty Hippo. They usually consist of annoying background music and the same announcer whoring cell phone backgrounds and ringtones.

And they're on all the damn time.

It's like when I woke up one day and every damn commercial was for something low carb or going back earlier for the erection pills.

Either they're wasting a bunch of money and hopefully soon go bankrupt or everyone turned into ****ing morons and actually pay for new bull**** ringtones every other day.

I give it a out of 10.

Strange, I haven't seen any of those cellphone ads yet. Then again, I use the nice button called MUTE on my home theater whenever the ads start, or I just change the channel to VH1 Classic.

Or... the worst thing for them all.... I just record the show with my HTPC.

I asked my girlfriend the same thing a week ago. Whats up with all the ring tone ads....

You see em a lot real late at night. Everytime I flick past BET there is a ringtone ad on.

I can't believe phone users pay way over the odds for stupid ring tones.
Considering millions of normal tunes are available on the net for free.
Same goes for backgrounds. Again, simple lo-res images for £2.50 etc ..

Muppets who pay for this stuff need urgent medical attention.

I wondered about that too... who is going to pay good money for some dumb picture or ringtone? All I need from my phone is for it to ring when somebody calls. I do get a kick out of the ad for one ringtone though - "Sir Mix-a-Lot is BACK!". Selling a ringtone knockoff of his hit song is their definition of "back"?

The only thing I have every brought for my phone is a copy of Tatio's Space Invaders, just incase I get bored on the train because my phone has poor games on it and SI is class lol.

Nothing beats the classic game EVERY phone comes with... Snake!

As for ring tones... What annoys me is being on a bus, and somebody's cell phone goes off with some gay ass ring tone that is set on loud. And what's worse is when they let the damn thing ring until the system throws the call to voicemail.
