You know it pisses me off that there are docking stations, car stereos and all that crap designed ONLY for iPods.

I have a similar device (VRFM9) that I use to listen to RGR and DSR in my car. Mine will read either USB stick or SD card and broadcast over FM. Works great, but the only problem is you cannot forward or rewind (you can pause) so I have to split the MP3 file into about 10 smaller files.

It does not work great for music, but for books and audio only it is great.

Yeah, those little $20 car + FM transmitter thingies are kinda hit or miss.

My mother in law bought my daughter a goddamn iPod Shuffle - which is the tinyest-yet-giant piece of garbage around. You have NO choice but to use iTunes.

If I hated Apple & iTunes before - I ABSOLUTELY LOATHE them now.

Shane, I picked up a 30 gig ipod and have been exploring the options and even in just a week have found some great options. Itunes is defiantly not needed to run an ipod.

I pm'd ya, there is a package that I am using that lists the shuffle as a model it can work with. I will look into it for you when I get home.
