Steam on Mac is now an absolute certainty... & Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge SE?

I know, I know, I'm a total GOG.com evangelist (don't want to say "shill"), and this is one step closer to getting GOG.com games working on the Mac platform as well.

Valve has been sending images upon images to websites in the last week "in anticipation of an upcoming announcement from Valve". I think we'll see something from Valve this week at GDC 2010 (Game Developer's Conference). Can't wait to see what happens.

And then, I saw this today, and very nearly had to change my pants. LucasArts has really gotten a modicum of respect from me recently, putting most of their great catalog of games up on Steam, making The Secret of Monkey Island: SE (which IS on Steam, by the way... hmm...) ... and then going back to their standard operating procedure of "Milk George's Movie Franchises Into Games That Are Already Dried Cash Cows". (can you tell I cannot stand what LucasArts has been doing with Star Wars game after lame Star Wars game?)

GDC 2010 this week will prove to be very, very interesting.

I don't know why but reading this reminded me of back when Tie Fighter first came out, it was way to much for my computer to handle.
