I'd thought that I would let everyone know that a new version of GrabIt, the free usenet leeching software is now out. You can find it at http://www.shemes.com/ and like I mentioned it is free.
I must admit the slightly tweaked interface is very nice, and it seems to run a bit faster as well than before. I am very happy indeed. :D

Does it handle 1.5 million headers at once yet? I heard that it really blew goat on large header collections. They got NZB in there too?
I used to use it until I found Newsleecher. Now I'm just spoiled.

I haven't gotten far enough to try out any groups that have that many headers yet Shane. I'm spoiled by Newsleecher myself, but I still use GrabIt for smaller newsgroups since I'm too used to the interface that GrabIt uses.
Sadly no support for NZB's yet Shane, tho I could imagine it could be added eventually. Still worth giving a run, the minor improvements are nice regardless. :D
Also, I just finally noticed "Download Folder" option on the new version of GrabIt that opens your default folder where you place your downloaded stuff. Very nice indeed. :)

Thanks for the update. I still need a place to send people that won't pay for Newsleecher :)

Actually NZB is supported. Look for the article import button at the top.

Nice, thanks dragon57. I'll have to give it a shot one of these days. :)
