This thread is just to make you aware of one of the best games for the defunct Dreamcast. BAINGAI-O
This game is from developer house TREASURE, and it's absolutely fantastic. To me it is a definite hat tip to Robotron, since the stages are short, action packed, full of mayhem and flash. And it has that double-joystick way of moving and shoooting that make it very playable.
There's basically no story, the few intermissions are full of wacky dialogue that has no meaning and all, and it has that japanesse weirdness all around. Plus the ending is practically unreadable (play it and you'll see why)
On the first couple of stages, you might ask yourself what the hell is it that you have to do in the game, but after a couple you realize that you just can't put it down. You want to go to the next stage and wreack havoc.
Something that is specially cool are the scatter attacks, again, in the begining, you might not use them too much, but shortly you'll find out that the more mayhem is happening on the screen, the better it is to fire those rockets (or lasers, depending on the character). Your jaw drops when you see literally hundreds (ir not thousands) or explosions on the screen!
It's a very recommended game, if you still have a Dreamcast, you can easily find this game for like $20 on ebay. Try it out!
Maybe Shane would like to do a "128 bit flashback" on this game someday (he he he)
