Oh my gosh I dont know if any of you guys have posted this before but it just sounds far fetched yet is quite typical at the same time..
Browser hijackers, something needs to be done:

Very old news, my friend.

I've been on the warpath to get IE out of people's lives - for just this sort of thing.

IE has direct access to the OS and hard drive, meaning that just about any website can potentially ruin your life.

IE6 SP2 (Windows XP SP2) stops a LOT of this - shame that people had to be assraped for 4 years before MS finally learned that ActiveX ain't the future.

and SP2 isn't fool proof since some websites won't conform to the SP2 standards (aka, stop using unsigned Active X objects) to have their webpages continue to work.

I am still holding out on the upgrade at LEAST 6 months. Let the rest of the world beta test and play catch up. I don't use IE, therefore, I have no need to update.
