I felt the spot on Wolfendoom in the show lacked some info on the project. I thought I'd put in my 2 cents just to say I did.
This cat has been around for several years - I don't know how long he's been on the web. But his main site: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/3744/ is indeed focused on his modding of the original Wolfenstein3D for MAC. I don't have a mac to try these out on, but his work is very interesting to look at and, to me, is real impressive.
Now, WOLFENDOOM is, of course, his port of his Wolfenstein3D mods to Doom. These ports are old enough that they use antiquated techniques to get working which make it a tad difficult to get right. The best fix for THIS problem is to use a Doom "source port" like ZDoom, http://www.zdoom.org, which automatically uses the .deh files necessary - all you have to do is drag all your files onto the ZDoom.exe. But that's not the only reason to use ZDoom.
ZDoom, among many other things, allows you to massively increase screen resolution as well as adding jumping. It is also designed to allow the creation of mods for Doom with other advanced features like .mp3 music, texture and sprite scaling, and in-game scripting. In fact, I am working on my own Wolfenstein mod for ZDoom and someone over at the ZDoom forums is working on an "updated" version of one of Laz's Wolfendoom mods - Operation: Arctic Wolf. I was generally impressed with Laz's version, I can only guess how great the new version will come out.
Anyway, just my 2 cents.:)
