View Full Version : $10 Best Buy coupon = $19.99 DS games!
http://www.subdural.com/~womp/bestbuycoupon.jpg
Print this out and take it to Best Buy.
We've been using it the last few days and its working wonderfully. My sister got Lost In Blue and Nintendogs Lab Edition for $19.99 a piece EACH (No tax in Delaware). Killer deal for new games.
My dad got a DS at Circuit City last night and proceeded to buy FIFA 06 for, you guessed it, $19.99.
I myself snagged Pac-Pix for $19.99. It was the only game I kinda wouldn't mind having...but not at $29.99. :)
Your mileage may vary but basically even though it says "Over $29.99" and the computer says "PC GAME" when its scanned, the clerks seem to be accepting it but a manager may need to override it. So far no probs but I hear the manager (Depending on how loose yours is) will either punch in a number and leave or will spend time reading the coupon and make an excuse.
Worth a shot if anyone needs any $29.99 or more DS games...

Did you use a real looking coupon, or a B&W print out?

Just print it out as is, B&W is fine...don't change anything, just click print and take the page in as presented.

Thanks Womp. I used the coupon last night. It did not scan, but they overrode it. Got Trauma Center and a Screen Protector for $10 with the coupon and my rewards.
I was really impressed with Best Buy actually. Started with going into the game section. I was looking around and eventually found the DS section. There were 3 little girls there all huddled around the DS playing Wario Ware Touched. Then they split up, two of them going off while the other stayed to play. It was evident that while they could play the other "Full" more powerful consoles there, they basically wanted to play DS. They would take turns, one playing while the others wandered off until it was their turn. It was great, Nintendo deffinatly seems like its breaking into different demographics.
Then I started looking through the DS section looking for TC. Could not find it anywere. WTF. They had about 20 copies of Advance Wars, and it looked like Lost In Blue was sold out due to the place tag but no games. I could not find a Trauma Center place tag at all though. I'm getting kind of annoyed, thinking I'm going to pick up something else like Pak and Roll, which is not terrible, but I really wanted Trauma Center. So I finally go over and talk to a couple of employees. I ask the first one if they have any copies of Trauma Center, and he just looks at me confused. I'm like "you know, DS, Trauma Center: Life Under the Knife". No clue. Then the other guy says that he thinks is over in "The other section". WTF? So I follow him, and sure enough, there is a whole other shelf of DS games, with 10 copies of TC! Fantastic! I also noticed that they had Lost in Blue, as well as other games that seemed like they were sold out. Looks like the Console and Portable games are starting to take over the PC area.
Then I went to the check out, and not only did the clerk not push the magazines on me, she also took my coupon with no quesitons asked, made sure the manager made it work, and then reminded me to scan my rewards card for more points. Fantasitc. I have to give BB a big thumbs up.

Well, my Best Buy didn't go for it ...
"No photocopies allowed" ... so I ended up paying full price for another copy of Lost in Blue. At least my kid will be happy we don't have to share ...

That sucks. I guess I have to mention that I printed the one I used in color. Don't know if that would have affected it.

Thats TOTAL BS.
We used that very same print out dude, at two different Best Buy's about 7 times and absolutely NO problems. You must have had a real dick of a manager because I don't even think the coupon says "No photocopies". Hell the magazine its in is from a FREE ad "Magazine" for ATI video cards located in their computer dept.
Damnit, that pisses me off!

Actually the coupon does say something about no copies. I printed a copy at work on our color laser printer and then cut the edges. It worked fine last night. Picked up Wario Twisted (AWESOME game by the way) for $19.99!!!!
