Is having a Wii just been upgraded to HD resolution really going to bring back the crowd?

Don't see why they couldn't release a Wii HD. In Giantbomb's Wii game of the year deliberations, they were almost jizzing in their pants when talking about how good Super Mario Galaxy 2 looked in HD on the Dolphin emu, and the possibility of it being on a console that could render it in HD.

I mean, if you can have upconverting DVD players, why couldn't you have an upconverting Wii ? :)
