Glad to hear you kept all of your DS Games. It would have been hard to replace a lot of those games. You did not mention your Lynx/games. Please tell me you still have all of that?

If you need a DS Phat to replace your son's DS I have a spare one I can send you. PM me.

All my classic stuff was locked up in the shed ... none of that was taken :)

I have a backup DS Phat for some reason they DIDN'T take - so we're covered there ... Thanks a bunch tho.

Glad to hear your classic stuff was safe. I remember you mentioning you had a collectors DS Phat they did not take. I have a plain silver DS phat that you can give to your son and save that collectors one from wear and tear. So the offer still stands if you want it.

How cute. I did not realize you were such a big Nintendogs fan ;)

I think I will bring my spare DS Phat as a door prize to the next Monroeapalooza.

^ LOL! Nice!

So you are coming this year as well? Awesome man. :)

I long since gave away my Nintendogs to a co-worker's daughter, sounds like she is enjoying it. In retrospect I probably should have kept it because now my son would probably get a kick out of it.

Are you kidding? I would not miss it for the world. I would love to spend some time with all of my fellow Monroeworld forum members again. It was really cool meeting with everyone last year.

Maybe SoCalMike will bring his Omega Race cab again so I can have a rematch? I would love to get some Deluxe Galaga game time in as well. I can't wait for the summer.

Did I hear you say on this episode: "almost everybody's been a victim of some sort of theft. Unfortunately not everyone's been a victim of a full blown house robbery". (at 06:50)

Did you mean to say "fortunately" or did I understand the concept wrong? :)

Ouch! Getting house robbed twice in a lifetime is a rarity. Glad to hear you are recovering your life back to normal with the generosity of the netizens in this forum. Makes me wonder myself if I could get robbed leaving all the valuable items at home. Maybe its time to put up Alarm System, CCTV, or even a guard dog in the premise.

Let's blame that one on cross traffic .... :)

If nothing else, go check your home owner's insurance .. see what you deductible is (mine was $1000!!) and make sure you're paid up.

The thing i dont get about your home owners policy Shane is.... if they claim to have contacted you and you ignored them - fine, but were you paying the bills regularly thereafter? Doesnt that hold them liable for keeping your money and not notifying you/returning it?

The wildcard here is ... it's a QUARTERLY payment. *September was the SEP-DEC payment.

Make sense now? :)

I use MS Money (came with my Pentium 60mhz years ago and still works!). When I bought my condo, and the insurance bill came in, I paid the whole thing (only $175/yr at the time) and every month, I add $20 to an item that's earmarked for insurance in Ms Money and when the next bill comes in next year, I have the whole amount again. I do it with car insurance also (that cost much more, so the up front money was a little harder to come by but well worth it). They tack on a $3 fee for every time you chose to use their payment plan system. It's only a couple of bucks but I'd rather have it then them, seeing as how its' my money. Can get an extra game with that cash. :)

Then there's the whole, keeping the minimum amount of cash in the bank deal so that you don't get hit with a monthly service charge. Which is about $10.

It all adds up after a while, I guess.

Well, Shane's ordeal has taught everyone here a lesson. If you plan to buy anything expensive, make sure you have up the level of security to protect it.

Shane's ordeal at home is the similar to experience I had to deal at work. I remembered from a past job I had at a Primary school where we had to install 10 LCD projectors for an Interactive Whiteboard got stolen 1 day after they were installed. It only took a 2 hr time span to do it. This was definitely an inside job whether it an employee or the contractor because it was the timing near Christmas Eve when everyone was out for holidays is when they hit. Not many personnel was around. But all that craziness afterwards was nuts from the principal freaking out at the money spent on the projectors are gone (by the way it wasn't insured).

Interesting. If you heard that (as did I)... what else did you hear?

I say that knowing that you -even more than me- have a massive index of references.

Hm.
