Yup! I know its Shockwave but its really rather very good. It has a new twist! you'll see when you play it. :)

You know, it's quite nice, but it also reinforces my issues with some of these modern hobbyist games and design aesthetics. Many of the renderings are well done, clean and tasteful, but some of the characters are rendered very poorly, including the main character. Odd how it can be so inconsistent.

not bad, its a bit tricky at first due the 4 sides. I see what you mean about the charecters.

I got curious when Shane said it didn't work, so I decided to fire it up in both Firefox and Opera. Works ok in both over here, cept I couldn't get the little bastard to jump :) Of course, I'm on my way to work so I don't have time to sit here and futz with it ... maybe later.

This is a pretty nice game, well done - and just as much fun as the original too. It runs fine on Firefox here (I suspect Shane needs to install the macromedia flash plugin .. )

I reckon the main character looks a bit worse than it could due to the poly-count restriction - the creator probably wanted the game to be playable on even relatively "old" PCs (those with P3/P4s below 2ghz and crappy gfx cards, and 256mb RAM max ... there's dozens of millions of those around...)

I have the plugin, but apparently, not the PLUGIN for the PLUGIN. It will render the playing field, but simply crash. I'll install the latest Shockwave again. Maybe that will pick it up.

BTW, the recent rash of Q-Bert games for consoles are well done. It's straight Q-bert with more levels and a sloppy story for going to different screens. But its loads of fun.

there's a version of Q*Bert on the ericsson t630 it looks good, but its a pig to play with the tiny buttons.
