well the emu on that particular disk only allows you to play Amiga 500 games to play Amiga 1200 games you'll need to buy the emu at the amiga website so in theroy it's not shareware, but it is if you know what I mean?

Its basically a LITE version of Amiga forever that doesn't come with everything that the real version does. Basically, A500 1.3 capability and that's it. No CD32 .. no AmigaDOS 3.1 ...

OK, this is slightly related: I live in the States and ordered a subscription to RetroGamer through some Canadian firm that does their N. American subscriptions. Will I get bonus CDs and stuff? Or will I simply get the mag itself? In the past, when I ordered UK / European magazines, the bonus stuff was never included in North American subscriptions (evil, I know).

Oh my apolgies i was wrong looking through the mag it sounded like the full retail version :(
OK I got this mag this weekend.
It is the striped version but fully functional on the A500.
Deluxe Galaga is on it (Though I haven’t figured out how to get the ship to move or fire)
It has a bit more on the disk but worth the purchase.
I can’t pony up 50 clams to try something just for fun.
Now I am forced to save up I have to get the nice clean version.

I have my copy, purchased from Barnes & Noble. It's a very solid magazine, certainly the best of its kind ever.
It's a pity that Europe - Britain in particular - gets a real mainstream retrogaming print magazine and the US is content on importing it. Sadly, there's little interest in creating a properly funded US-based magazine of the same type, which I don't get. The concept proves itself through the import of magazines like Retro. Maybe someday...
My real question is why the RGR episode is 05-2004 Not understanding why they are a year behind?
Shane what gives on that? It is nice to see you included but not getting the relevance of putting the old show in there.
Context and everything I think that the newer shows would have gotten more response.
Even though the reply’s in the other thread were quite fun to read.
Just wondered.

Valid question ...
I had a guy that worked there, Tony, who was really keen on getting with me months in advance, planning what episode would be a good fit, and worked hard to make sure an episode got on there, etc.
Well, I haven't heard back from Tony in a long time - I assume he moved on - and no one else there has been too keen to take his place. Basically, I have to hand shovel them an episode with NO knowledge of what will be covered in the magazine when it airs. Its frustrating - because we could have such a good marriage between us; we do cover similar content after all. But, I've really gone the distance and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. :(
