Maybe I've been just barely missing you guys, but it seems like there have been very few posts lately. What's everyone up to, I kinda miss talking to everyone!
I went to Dutch Wonderland last weekend with the little one and then we did some fall harvesty type things today. Hope everyone is well.

I've been reading posts when I can, but I have had to work 12 of the last 13 days averaging 10 hours a day so I haven't had time for much else.
Other than that... doing just fine and still enjoy reading the posts here

Don't you know? Most of the forum activity is in Flames & Fanboys!
Okay, I couldn't type that with a straight face. :)

Spent the last 4 days @ Disney World with the family. I've got some nice pictures I'll share in the next couple of days. I thought of you guys, last night I spent a couple of hours in the Arcade with my daughter. They had some old school games all the way in the back. Space Invaders, Defender & a Donkey Kong/Mario Bros. machine. Pretty slick.
They also had two Mario Kart's sitting side by side. Although me and my daughter play that at home regularly, it's still kind of fun, sitting behind the wheel and playing it in the Arcade.
Weather has been so/so, but ok nonetheless.

Yeah I definitely identify with the time thing, I do the 40 hours a week at work and 8 hours a week in class not including study time so this place and gaming is a nice little respite.

Ahaha...yeah I must say, it's healthier for me since I requested to be blocked from there.

Lucky lucky! I love Disney. I saw a Mario Kart cabinet on our cruise ship but it didn't look that great. Still, it was interesting seeing MK in an arcade.

Quite frankly, I've been staying away outta fear and boredom. Fear that I may say something to offend someone. And boredom because I'm just tired of the same ole crap from ChairoNoDipstick. I've even stopped replying to his oblivious posts, go figure. Other than that, working my arse off saving up for Vegas. Oh, and I saw a great movie, but I can't say what it is because it may start some stupid political conversation and we all know that is death around here. Thought about putting it in the DVD section (it's not a DVD though) but decided against it, just in case.

Sorta like TheAliens thoughts, it's hard to know what you can and can't say around here anymore and I've already been banned once...
If you look at the overall picture, the forum is certainly shifting towards the modern (yet non [IBM] PC) gaming.
Not sure how I fit here anymore.
As far as classic gaming goes, I've largely said my part as have most senior members here. Doesn't seem to leave much without the social/political 'crap' that served as entertainment after all that was said. As such, the new 'in' thing seems to be modern gaming; be it migration to or discussion of. To that, I'm really not all that interested.
So, while I report to this roll call and view the forum almost daily, I'm finding less and less to post about...

For the last couple of weeks I've been very busy with the final phase of our SAP system implementation.
I'm the lead in one of the areas so there's a lot of responsibility involved (it's the reason they moved my ass over here).
I think I still manage to put in a few posts every day anyway... even if they are mostly related to me admitting to been fooled by a virus scam in Usenet :o.

Have my head buried in De Blob and Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked for reviews in this month's show. :D

In other news, my 360 is useless now. Unplayable disc error for every disc.
Been mourning the lose of that.

I visit daily, but I post less now mainly because I am busier at work and also because there really is not that much to discuss gaming related for me anyway.
I think making Flames and Fanboys private may have hurt the more heated discussions which seemed to get the most responses. It easier to have something to say when you are in disagreement.
Occasionally Tally will post something totally ludicrous, which sometimes warrants some fun responses. Other than that most topics/posts lately are subjects I have little interest in (Blueray, DVD's, TV shows). I am not much on starting topics myself so my participation goes down when topic creation by others goes down.
It' a nice community and I will continue to visit daily and post when I have somethig to say.

I think there are some great games coming that will get some buzz going--on 360, Fallout, Left 4 Dead, and CoD5 should generate some excitement, and Animal Crossing will be pretty big for Wii next month. It will be interesting to see how CoD5 for Wii turns out as well.
Tetris Party and Alien Crush Returns will jump start WiiWare multiplayer leaderboard fun as well. :D

I got into a gut wrenching car accident this week. Not my fault, and it's being taken care of. But still - Suuuuuckkk!!!! On the upside, I actually saw my life flash before my eyes so I got to relive some retro gaming moments. Man I played a lot of Space Invaders on the 2600. And what was playing on my car stereo at the time? RGR-September show! It was comforting to here Shanes dulcet tones as I spun towards oblivion!:D

There's still classic gaming discussion. Its just that the majority of it has been stolen by the modern gaming forums thanks to the VC and XBLA.
If you can't think of anything to post about, try stealing topics from other forums.

I've been working my ass (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ass) off in preperation for the G2E (http://www.globalgamingexpo.com/) show in Las Vegas (http://www.visitlasvegas.com/). I'm always busy this time of year for G2E because I make electronic video table games for SMI (http://www.shufflemaster.com/). Otherwise nothing has been very interesting in gaming news lately other than some TGS (http://www.qj.net/tags/TGS-2008/15759) bits. There has been some interesting DLC (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/10/09/playstation-store-update-55/) for PS3 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_3).

I'm OK. Thanks for asking. I was traveling down a small hiway, came to an intersection with a traffic light. The light turned yellow I went through and the car in the opposite lane turned left into my path. Luckily I swerved at the last second so the the impact was on the side of my car instead of head on. It could have been a lot worse.
