I'm not sure if this should be here (and I appologize if it shouldn't be), but I'm just so happy to be able say that I own a Vectrex. This was my personal "Holy Grail" for my classic video game collection. I am just freakin' Giddy, folks.
I found the unit at a flea market along with the games Spike, Blitz! and Rip Off for $120 Canadian (just about $120 US at the time). I had seen Vectrexs in the past for less on Ebay, the shipping on the units always pushed the total price through the roof anyway! Plus there is the fact that I was looking at, handling and playing the actual unit that I was going to buy instead of having to take the word of someone I don't know as to the actual condition of the machine. Another point was the fact that I have bought many items from this booth over the years and never had a problem. With that in mind, I happily plunked down the money and took my now prized Vectrex home!
More good new: I got onto Ebay and bought a multicart containing just about all the commercial releases (I think it skips the games for use with the 3D imager add-on and perhaps the light pen applications). It also contain's several excellent homebrew games too. All that for a mere $30.
Anyway, I put together a little montage of pics and game clips on youtube:
